Urinary Tract Infection

The urinary tract makes and stores urine. The process begins in your kidneys – where urine is made and then carried to the bladder through the ureters. Your bladder stores the urine until the urethra carries it out your body.

An infection usually begins in the bladder and urethra. If left untreated, it can spread to the ureters and kidneys.
