- Co-authored the book chapter "Robotic Radical Prostatectomy" in the medical reference Atlas of the Prostate, thrid edition.
- Since joining Urology San Antonio in 2004, Dr. Kella has performed more than 1,000 robotic prostatectomies. Each week he completes 6-10 robotic cases, making him one of the top ten highest volume robotic prostectomy surgeons in the U.S.
