Matthew Rogers, MD
“Communication is key to a patient-doctor relationship and that cannot be overstated,” says Dr. Matthew Rogers. “I emphasize this with every patient encounter. Every patient’s time is valuable, and I try to make every visit worthwhile and have all their questions answered prior to leaving.”
Doctor Matthew Rogers joined Urology San Antonio after completing his urology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He treats men’s and women’s general urologic health concerns and specializes in urologic cancers, kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Rogers received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School.
“I was taught in my training to treat the patient and not the disease. This means that treatment is individualized to each patient based on their personal needs and wishes, rather than treating based on the diagnosis alone. I think this is a very important part of medicine that we as physicians sometimes overlook.”
When he’s not helping patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
